I have lost/forgotten pin for BMV .I have tried to reset using puk mumber from the back of shunt (there is only 1 sticker on it with any letters & numbers ) but it keeps telling me wrong puk number . What is my next step ?

Assume this is the bluetooth pin. Default is 000000.
Press reset and setup together and hold for 3 seconds. This should reset all settings back to factory. But if you locked the setup, you'll need to unlock it. Details in the manual.

PUK is not from phone or shunt, but is on a sticker on the back of the 712.

The PUK code consists of 12 characters where each must be one of the following characters: "0123456789ABCDEF". Perhaps you read one of the characters as something different (like "1" for "L" or "0" for "O")?
When you are still unable to reset the PIN code, can you perhaps post pictures here of the stickers on the BMV?

this is the back with sticker I was working from ..... no wonder I couldn't reset. Thank you all for your assistance .
