Good afternoon,
For some time Victron has been shipping the GlobalLink 520. The GlobalLink 520 connects VE.Direct enabled Victron products directly to VRM via a cellular LTE-M (CAT-M1) network. LTE-M is a low power wide area network. As we see more and more devices active in the field we also come across more questions regarding coverage. This post is a starting point to make sure that you will have coverage when you install your GlobalLink 520.
The GlobalLink ships with a pre-paid sim card installed from 1nce which has enough data to last for a period of at least 5 years. 1nce has roaming agreements in many countries, you can find a complete list here county coverage 1nce pdf. This list does not show the operators per country nor the exact coverage of LTE-M per operator.
We have created the list below from VRM data to show which operators have more than 1 GlobalLink 520 active on their network and added a link to the coverage map. Please make sure that you select LTE-M / CAT-M1 on the map if possible.

If you are in a country that has coverage and you are having a bad signal it is also possible that you need an external antenna. Victron has two options in stock an Outdoor LTE-M wall-mount antenna (ANT100200100) and an Outdoor LTE-M puck antenna (ANT100200200).
Please feel free to comment on this article if you have had a working module in a country that has not been listed above.
Update 23-08-2022
Custom SIM support is now available since firmware v2.06. You can set the APN and or PIN via VictronConnect. Please make sure your operator supports LTE-M (CAT-M1).
