Tr Smart 12/12-18 A +Yamaha 19 A alternator charging LiFepo4 100 Ah

Is it safe for 19 A alternator? Heard that somebody uses some kind of limiters between Tr and alternator. Which one if needed?

would be interesting to know if an outboard rotor/stator can be overheated similar to a standard alternator.
