BMV-712 power cable

Hi There,

For the power cable that comes with the BMV-712 that connects to the b1 terminal. Does this cable need to be connected directly to the battery terminal or could it for instance be connected to the end of the positive cable coming from the battery where it first meets a bus bar?

@dhunt90 Best practice is the battery itself for greatest accuracy, however if your positive cable is adequately sized and relatively short then that should be fine.

thank you for the response. The battery cable is 2/0 and about 8’ long. Do you think that will be sufficient?
