Is it necessary to update a brand new Multi Plus firmware?

Hello, I will soon be ready to fire up my brand new 24/3000/70-50 Multi Plus for the first time. If there is a firmware update available, is it necessary to update the firmware on this brand new Multi Plus?

It really depends on what you want the system for. It is not entirely necessary if is is a basic system

If it is for ess and paired to use with the other equipment then yes.

Victron do recommend if it is new machine to do so though.

Hello, thanks for your reply.

This multi plus is for a smaller solar RV system running with a Victron MPPT and DC/DC converter. I'll proceed with the firmware update.
