23 of (SmartSolar MPPT 250/100 ) Stop Working

Could you please read the following, and help us to understand and avoid this issue in the future: We have Added three Inverters type Quattro 15Kva to our existing Solar system which was consisted of (6 )Inverters type Quattro 15Kva and (23) MPPT Solar Chargers controller Type (SmartSolar MPPT 250/100 ), we reconfigured the 9 inverters to work as 3 phase inverters ( 3 inverters for L1, 3 inverters for L2, 3 inverters for L3), and the system working for about 4 months without any problem, a few days ago all MPPT solar chargers stop working ( one of MPPT solar charger was burned, and 19 MPPT solar chargers not working and no led flashing, and 4 MPPT solar chargers not working and blue light flashing every 2 or 3 seconds.)

I need to know why these problems happened.

Please Know that the MPPT solar chargers voltage is ( absorption =55.2V,float=54V, equalization not active (disable ) ), but four months ago when we add the new 3 inverters (Quattro 15Kva ) and reconfigured the system, we forget to reduce the default setting of inverter charge voltage, so the inverters setting is ( absorption =57.6V,float=55.2V, equalization not active (disable )), is that configuration could cause the above problems ??.

The Quattro higher charging settings would not cause this problem with the MPPT. The MPPT can withstand higher battery Voltage, it is possible to set MPPT battery Voltages to ~70V (for example).

Surely it was a common problem to cause failure of all units at the same time, lightning or some sort of problem on the PV side? Could the 250V maximum PV Voltage have been exceeded somehow?

Thank you , I forget to say all grounded devices in the solar room such as the 9 inverters , CCGX and maxi GX still working .only the MPPT solar chargers failure, all failure units not grounded and have no connection to earthing system , is this indicate for any thing?

The max PV voltage is 186.91V,

Did you have any lighting in the area? or cold weather? Did the Quattro's trip off? Did you see any errors on your GX?

This sounds like a lighting or PV over voltage. How many panels do you have in series?

The error on GX is #38,, the weather this days is raining, the number of panels in series is 3 panels (186.9V)

MPPT error codes. Error 38 looks bad.

What firmware version are the mppt's running?

First thing I thought of was PV voltage too high. Was it a sunny cold day?

Hi Ziadabdullah.

Did you find what caused this. I am running 1 250/100 and its died today for no reason. Did Victron fix them?
