Will the Victron 2000 Multiplus work with a Progressive Industries EMS unit?

I am trying to decide if I can use an EMS surge protector in front of the Multiplus 2000.

I can't see a reason why the EMS would not work.
The EMS may not like exported energy, but I don't think you intend to do that.
