Does Victron make a DC-DC charger that will accept >100 amp from a vehicle alternator without burning up? The application is a step van conversion to an RV. The goal is (I think) fairly typical - to be able to charge the battery bank in the RV while driving, using alternator current. There are also solar panels on the roof, charging the same battery bank through a solar charging controller, and also an inverter-charger for when shore power is available. We tried a Renogy DCC50S but it burst into flame the first time we tried to drive the van. Too much current from alternator? If so, how can you limit the current from a big truck/step van alternator going into your DC-DC charger? Thanks!
