Fridge Temperature Fluctuation

Can anyone explain this?

We have 48/5000 Multiplus. We have been using it off grid with two homes which include two fridges etc. We run the usual items including computers, washing machine, dishwasher and other appliances.

A visitor in a RV with fridge plugged in to a 15 Amp outlet and was only able to achieve a fridge temperature of 6 degrees C. When unplugged from our power it rose to 11 degrees. He then relocated to an ongrid power supply and was able to achieve -2 degrees in the fridge.

Our fridges run at 4 degrees Fridge and - 18 degrees Freezer.

Any help explaining this is appreciated.

Possibly Voltage. Your Multi with default settings will output 230V all day long, which is pretty much a global standard. Whereas the grid can vary widely in some places, especially with domestic solar pushing power to it, and can reach 250V, even more.

You could change your Multi setting up to 245V, but the issue is probably your friends' fridge..

Could perhaps also be some electronics in the RV? Perhaps the fridge was shutdown/disconnected because something else in the RV was pulling too much power?

Was the ongrid power supply a higher amp connection?

Without more details it is impossible to get a definitive answer. But I wouldn't worry about your own setup. 15 amps is 15 amps. If your home wasn't able to deliver that power, your inverter would have shut down.
