It may be strange question, but will Fronius and Venus work without a Multiplus/Quattro connected. It would be a Zero Feed-in system in aa energy meter connected to the Venus.
Or is it dependent on the frequency shift from the inverter(s)?
The reason im asking is a project where ill have multiple Fronius Symo system coming and going, and connecting them with wifi would be a nice and quick solution.
I don't think so. The Zero Feed-In configuration is, and I hope I'm correct, not 100% sure, a part of the ESS Assistant. And the ESS Assistant is loaded into the MultiPlus, not in to the Venus device
So while I do believe you could monitor the Fronius using only Venus, you can't use zero feed-in because you can't load the ESS Assistant without a MultiPlus/Quattro.
And yes, the inverters do the frequency shifting.
