A recent storm got into my controller, I had it to my supplier and was told it is not repairable as they are a sealed unit, is this true as it is only 3 months old

Unfortunately once water has flooded electrical components the damage has been done.
Water will wick into components via their wire leads (WICK), and render the entire device not suitable for further warranty forward.
