SMA Sunny Island

Hiya Guys, I know you can link the SMA Sunny Boy to the Venus via ModBus, can the same be done with the Sunny Island & if so, what information will the Genus grab?

I would presume that this works as other PV inverters so you would need a AC current sensor connected to the Multi/Quattro to show the PV current and thus the PV tile would apear with incoming power etc

The Sunny Island is not a PV inverter but a bi-directional battery inverter like a Multiplus.

Hi Awesome Fish Guy,

I don't know for sure but have a feeling this will not work.... as far as I can tell Venus expects a VE.Bus compatible battery inverter (which the SI is not).
