Earthing 24v system

Hi all,

Based on my campervan plans, I am looking at a 24v system, with a few stepped down 12v items using an Orion Unit. I wanted to check if there would be any issues with earthing the system, as it is a 12v van? Anything else that I should be bearing in mind?

Many thanks

Unless you are connecting to "shore power" (Read mains AC Voltage) and it is a stand alone system - ie 24v / 12 only, I cannot see the need or requirement for an earthing system.

You can also use a common bus meaning that the 24v negative and 12v negative can run on the same wire or grounding.

You will however need to guard against 24v+ and 12v+ coming into contact with each other.

If I am to be corrected, I will modify or alter this post
