Remote console Color control via GSM GX?

Goodmorning

Is it possible to use remote console on the color gx by using the victron gsm gx 4g sim card device?


I ask this because i dont understand how the gsm gx device will keep internet connection alive . If it does, it will drain my data doesnt it? How much data will it consume when i keep the connection for like over one month?

I can find some data for when using VRM updates but not for remote console.

Yes.


Data usage of VRM monitoring:

Data consumption per month:

  • VRM logging: 15MB download, 45MB upload

  • Remote support: 22MB download, 40MB upload

  • Update checks: 8MB download, 0.3MB upload (This does not include the update itself)

  • 2 way communication: 26MB download, 48MB upload

Mentioned megabytes do not include the download of a Color Control firmware update. Firmware updates of 60MB are not uncommon.
