SmartShunt 500A Red Wire Fuse Information

I blew the small glass fuse that goes in the red power wire for the SmartShunt 500A. Finding a replacement is proving difficult. I can't believe the fuse information isn't cited in the manual. Stunning omission. Between my smartphone & a magnifer, I can read some information off the fuse, but when I type what I see in a search, I'm not sure I'm finding the correct replacement.

Anyone been there & done that?

Victron - what the heck were you thinking by not including that information??

There are already a few questions about that topic in the community, just search for "BMV fuse".

It is a T1AL250V.

It is strange that it is not listed in the manual! The 2-page datasheet shows that it is a 1A fuse

I saw that. Go to Amazon or any leading electronics supplier & search for a 1A fuse. Tell me if the results reveal the exact size & voltage used by the current fuse.

Yes. I understand some of the markings. 100mA. 200v. I read that the "P" may mean - no lead. I haven't found any fuse information explaining the "E." Nothing on the odd "L" symbol with the smaller "F" inside of it.

As I mentioned before the Lf is Littlefuse brand,

T = Time delay or slow blow, the coiled element also suggests this

E = Enhanced breaking capacity / glass

Obviously 100mA and 250V stand for them selves.

Fuse type M205 1a.

M for metric (??) 20mm long x 5mm diameter.

I also blew fuses last year. One other thing I found was that I believe they are a time delay or slow blow fuses. I have recently changed the fuse holders to blue seas waterproof fuse holders and busman sells a one amp that fits and it is a time delay

Gheez thank you for this discussion everyone. I could not find this info in the online User Manual. Wish in the 3 times or so that they refer to that fuse, they'd say, "the 1amp T1AL250V fuse", that'd be kinda effeicient. So maybe I have made a mistake, in haste I could only find a 5A fuse at Lowes so that is what I wasted my money on. Guess now I'll go hunt Amazon for the exact fuse and get it installed. The Internet is a better place because of all of you folks! :-)
