I have been asked to look at an existing renewable system. There is a 3 phase supply with various existing renewables (PV and Wind) feeding in to different phases via single phase Grid Tied Inverters. The customer has asked for more PV to be added to the system. This can easily be achieved by using an MPPT.
If I add 3 Multi's and configure them to a 3 phase ESS set up, will the system work and charge the batteries using the existing single phase GTI's AC coupled to separate phases? Would it be better to throw away the existing single phase GTI's and replace with 3 phase units and AC couple across all phases?
