Are there any drawbacks to using the BMV-712 Smart Control by itself, and not the GX series (Understanding that I will need to Program the MultiPlus from my PC) ?? See Diagram for my proposed System. Thanks !

Hi @john-fraser, welcome to the Community!

Not at all; what you have shown here is, at a glance, a very common type of installation. While we always encourage the use of a GX device in a system for the comprehensive information at-a-glance that it provides, it is not necessary; so long as all your other components are connected and programmed appropriately to the system, they will perform perfectly without a GX device tying them all together.
