BatteryProtect Remote specifications / connect SmartSolar MPPT to BatteryProtect?

The manual for the BatteryProtect notes that the pin 2-1 remote on-off input can be connected via a switch to either pin 2-2 or battery+. Is the 5V output from the SmartSolar MPPT sufficient to drive this input directly? (this is with a BP-220 and a SS 100/30 if it matters)

Ah, just found the manual for the 'VE.Direct TX digital output' cable, which specifically notes this option in "Application 2. Virtual load output" for the MPPT controller:

https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/VE-Direct-TX-digital-output-cable-EN.pdf

So, assuming the VE.Direct cable is passive (i.e. no level converter), then I guess 5V is enough to drive the BatteryProtect.
