I have a Victron mppt 100 20 48v and Trojan 8v batteries x6. The trojan site says to set the controller at 59v, but the battery seems to off gas and burble as if it’s equalizing at that voltage. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi @John Smith
That's too high for floodeds, regardless of where you read it. I use 57.6V (+/- temp comp), and have done for years. If I were to change that I'd go even lower, as they'll still accept a full charge over a wide range, without wasting water in gross quantities.
The backroom boffins may well have decided that a daily mini-equalize is good for their batts. Not for me..
