Research (eg battery university) states the lifespan of Lithium Batteries can be increased by not fully charging every cycle. I would like to charge Lithium Batteries to 90% normally and 100% every ten days to re-balance and synchronise BMV SoC.
There does not seem to be a straight forward way to do this. Others read the SoC from the BMV via serial cable and process in a micro-controller (eg Raspberry) and interrupt BMS Charger Disconnect accordingly.
Can Victron incorporate a feature into BMV to manage this via relay?
That is add a relay setting Soc High and associated clear relay setting. It would then not be so difficult to add an external circuit with a push button to override this and fully charge every ten days or so,
