Hello,
is it possible to connect a MultiPlus 12/3000 to a BMS 12/200?
The datasheet says it should be possible because the BMS will limit the inrush current to 80A for a while and will than switch back to 400A max.
But I know we had a few problems with larger inverters at the BMS 12/200 a few years ago.
The BMS got killed in the moment you connected the inverter due to the high inrush current.
Back then the BMS 12/200 was just released.
Today I got a call from a costumer, he want to upgrade his RV installation.
He already have a Victron Smart LiFePO4, a BMS 12/200 installed and a no-name "3000VA" inverter.
Now he want a MultiPlus 12/3000 but because we made some bad experiences I don't want to sell and install the Multi without being sure it will work and not kill the BMS.
Greetings from Germany
