There is an ongoing issue that seems to be quite widespread where argofet excite input is passing current from its source to an output where the voltage is lower. I have concluded that the excite input line needs to have protection against overcurrent as a precaution against the unknown!.
Unless Victron provide information about the internal workings and limitations of the Argofet, and how protection might be needed, how can installers safely install them? Even issuing a Safety Advisory Notice to alert installers and users to the potential problems would help.
Question::Why have Victon not answered the various questions and provided guidance in the installation instructions and given information about possible failure modes and their symptoms.?
