Can I connect the + and - battery connections of a VE.Bus Smart dongle to the internal mulitplus battery connections and mount the dongle inside a multiplus with double-sided tape? I have a Victron Smart Battery so already have temp. My Multiplus to battery cables are quite short and oversized so cable loss info is not needed either.
Yes, that is possible.
If the run to the battery is not long, then why not run wires directly to the battery and the eliminate any Voltage drop over your large battery cables. Even though they are short and over sized, there will still be Voltage drop.
