75/15 charge Controller. Charging leisure battery on motorhome. Is it OK to leave connected when engine started

Hi. So new motorhome. No solar power on vechile. So connected my 75/15 mppt charge controller to liesur battery. So when I want to drive off. Solar panel disconnected. But charge controller still wired up to liesur battery. Will charge controller be OK still connected when I drive off. Or with vechile started and vechile charging leisure battery. Could power go from battery to charge controller and cause damage to c/controller. Thanks steve
