My solar regulator 100/50 output is low (in bulk charging) unless a load is connected to the battery (output increases in this situation), why?
A few details about the number and type of batteries would be useful.
The battery might be fully charged or only able to accept a certain charge rate due to internal resistance. without more information it would be hard to be certain.
Thanks for you reply Vance. I have 2 Full River 120Ah Deep Cycle batteries. When the issue happens, my Smart regulator says the batteries are in bulk mode so I thinking they can't be full. Can you clarify how the issue may relate to internal resistance. Thanks.
