I have a Multiplus 48/3000/35 Ac transfer cap.=16A, and fitted with a VE bus Smart dongle (HQ1845N).
On the chip is label with number: 26 22 413.VFD
There is also an MPPT 100 i 20.
And a stationary batteries for 48V/200Amp hours.
And an Orion 48/12V DC/DC converter(not part of the problem).
Everything works fine except that there is a difficulty to get the Multi[lus to accept the load from a genset (we tried two different models already).
The solution is to set the Multiplus on weak AC.
This can only be set from Victron connect software.
I have this soft on my Apple MacBooks (Mojave and Catalina), and can easily read and communicate with the MPPT.
It (VictronConnect) even has already updated the MPPT firmware automatically.
But when accessing the Multiplus there is an alert message:
"INCOMPATIBLE SOFTWARE VERSION
CURRENT VERSION IS V413 AND NOT COMPATIBLE WITH...VICTRONCONNECT.
Contact your installer to update to v415 or higher"
I am the installer and the stuff is remotely located in the woods in the Ardens (off grid of course)
Question: Why doesn't VictronConnect do the job as it did for the MPPT?
Is that because VictronConnect is installed on a Mac?
What soft/hardware do I need to pump that firmware into the Multiplus.
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Paul Colin
PS: I asked the same question last year already. The answers:
"
VictronConnect requires that the Multi to run firmware version 415 or higher.
Once connected go to Settings -> Product info (top right corner) -> Press Update.
You'll see the a firmware file with version 465 you can use it to update your Multi.
Please, note that same than with VEFlash, the settings are cleared during a firmware update and you'll need to reconfigure it.
Kind regards,
Jesús

Hi Jesús,
Can you help on this one?
Not sure what the customer is doing. I still haven't tried using Victron Connect for updating.
Still a big fan of VEFlash.
Could it be that it doesn't work when you have a <415 Firmware? First he has to update using VEFlash?
If that is the case let me know and I will help him then. If it can be solved using Victron Connect I will read Level3 to see how it was solved!
Thanks for the help.
