I am planning to use a 60amp smart battery protect to switch a DCDC Boost converter for charging a 24v house bank from my 12v engine battery when the engine is on.
Is there an issue if the Battery protect is wired to the 12v side of the converter, but switched (remote output) by a 24v signal from my battery BMS?
By wiring it this way, I can set the SBP60 to cut-off at 13v (user defined cut off on the battery protect) to prevent engine battery discharge when the engine is off, and use my BMS to cut off the dcdc boost when it determines the 24v house bank is full.
Much appreciate knowing if this would work.
Cheers,
James
