How to connect PV Array to MPPT in sunshine

Hello Community

I am ready to connect my PV array to my MPPT controller (the MPPT is already connected to my battery). I have read you should not make/break the connectors on load.

I could connect it in darkness or cover the array.

But I would like to know if I can use the MPPT ‘Charger Enable’ function to disable the charger – would this effectively remove load and allow me to connect the PV array in sunshine?

Have a DC breaker installed on the pv side. That way you can connect everything then switch on the load.

It also means you can switch off the load when you want to disconnect as well.
