I recently updated a four year old Multiplus hub system to run ESS assistant instead, but I just couldn't get it to discharge. I plugged in a CCGX and found in the ESS menu that external meter was selected, I deselected this, and everything was fine... until I removed the CCGX. Although it worked at first, after a moment, it seemed to forget that no grid meter was installed and went back to not discharging.
So my question is this; can you run the ESS assistant on a system without a GX device, as you could with the hub assistants?
