I'm trying to add a BMV-712 to a boat system. The batteries are spread though out the boat. The aft batteries feed an inverter, the forward battery feeds a windlass. The bank is now divided into two banks and ran as a single combined bank. the problem is; the negatives are split before the cables arrive at a common spot. To rewire would be economically and physically unfeasible.
I can wire it to retain a forward and an aft bank. So my question is: if I install a BVM 712/bank can and will they play nice together if both are connected to a Venus Control? Can the system see both? What would be the best way to deal with 2 individual banks that are mostly combined?
