I have acquired a second hand Multiplus 48/3000/35.
To test it I have connected the AC in to a 240V supply but nothing happens, no LED lights coming on and no sounds.
Does it need a battery connection to work or is it broken?
Thanks

Hi @Kalamgish,
How it behaves when connected to only AC depends on the age of the unit.
If it is a modern unit, with recent firmware, it can work. It can take up to 2 minutes, and may not connect at all if the programming of the unit is set to be strict with when it allows AC or not.
Even if it works, I would not depend on this test. It would be much better for peace of mind to have a battery available, and have some known loads to test it sufficiently, even to overload.
So it is not possible to say one way or the other if there is a problem or not at the moment.
