Phase rotation, there are no more than 6 variants -> the warning comes with everyone

To anticipate it, the installer yesterday checked the wiring. From the house connection via the MultiACin via ACout to the loads, the same cable colors are never crossed. 35m 5x16mm² underground cables were laid from the house to the MultiPlus and back. Since no error was found, Ve.Configure tried all 6 ways of assigning the phases:

1-2-3, 1-3-2, 2-1-3, 2-3-1, 3-1-2, 3-2-1 for all there was a phase rotation warning if the MultiPlus tried on the grid back.

Three-phase motors have the correct direction of rotation both in inverter operation and in mains operation (manual switchover possible via switch). We have no idea

There are only two options, left and right rotation, but L1-L3 is important if you have other devices measuring things, like PV inverter or grid meter.

for accepting grid: when one option doesn't work, swap two phases and it should work. if it doesn't, it's probably something else. Usually wiring is not ok.

can you provide picture of the wiring?


also you can use remote console to look into the inverter alarm status, to see what they are reporting.

Hi @Daniël Boekel,

At the AC-out in phase 2 there is a PV inverter (Fronius Primo3.0) with temporarily very low power for testing.
In the remote console, the same message as in VRM comes practically only in German.
I'm trying to upload a plan of how everything is connected. Each multi on one phase, PE and N always separated.I hope the picture gives enough information.

Ist da irgendwo noch ein EnFluRi eingebaut?
Ich glaube, wenn da eine Drehung ist, kann es auch zu Problemen mit der Zugschaltung der Multis geben.

Ich glaube das hatten wir kurz vor Weihnachten auch bei der Inbetriebnahme einer großen Anlage mit 6x15kVA Quattros.

Aber wenn sie schon alle Möglichkeiten ausprobiert haben, ist es in der Tat eigenartig.

Hi @Daniël Boekel, f4e11e8c6d80. Is there a reason why the Fronius can be displayed under Advanced, but is it missing in the device list?

Hallo @M.Lange,

Es war mal angedacht einen EM24 anzuschließen(ist auch hinter dem Hauptzähler installiert), aber die Kommunikation hat nicht funktioniert. Der wurde über USB angeschlossen, vom OktoGX erkannt aber keine Daten angezeigt. Da bei dieser Installation denke ich kein Meter erforderlich ist ist das Kabel nicht angeschlossen, evtl. verwende ich das Kabel für einen Fronius-Meter für 0-Einspeisung. Was mich in diesem Zusammenhang stutzig macht, das es in der Remote-Konsole immer noch angezeigt wird obwohl nichts angeschlossen ist?

Wurde an dem EM24 der kleine Schalter auf 1 oder 2 gestellt?
So lange dieser auf der Position mit dem Schloss ist, kann er nicht ausgelesen werden.

In ihrem System ist ein Sensor glaube ich wirklich nicht zwingend erforderlich, da der gesamte Strom ja sowieso druch die Quattros fließt.

Der Sensor ist im dem System jetzt registriert, wenn die da drauf gehen, sollte auch angezeigt werden, das er nicht angeschlossen ist.
Bin mir gerade nicht sicher ob man den aus der Liste wieder raus bekommt.

Vielleicht gab es auch ein Problem bei der Konfiguration des Systems?
Ich würde vielleicht versuchen das 3-Phasen System noch mal aufzulösen und neu aufzuspielen.

Der Schalter ist auf 1,

System auflösen, heißt alle noch mal als Einzelgeräte installieren(oder neue FW aufspielen) und dann nochmal mit Ve.Configure konfigurieren?

the wiring is the same as before.

All error messages had a single error in the configuration.

In any case, all assistants may only be loaded onto the MultiPlus assigned in this constellation Phase1 and the connection to the octo relay only works on this device.

The rest should just be fine-tuning. Many thanks for the support.

I got the same problem with "Virtual Switch" enabled on 3-phase system.

Inverter fire that "Wrong Phase Rotation Detected" when it tries to switch to grid, issue was the same - Virtual Switch was configured in all inverters, while should be only on master one.

Well, docs even clearly say about it at https://www.victronenergy.com/live/ve.bus:manual_parallel_and_three_phase_systems#virtual_switch

But error message you get as a result takes a time to find the real reason of the problem :)
