Multi Plus Output Voltage

Hi,

We have two paralleled 24/3000/70/50's and a CCGX

All seems to be working ok.

I was having some issues with the multiplus disconnecting from the generator a 7.2 kva unit when the load was initially put on however I have connected a lamp and the frequency is now far more stable and seems to have sorted that.

However, I was looking at the settings I have used and while the grid (shore power) voltage is around 230 here, the multiplus output voltage is set to 230 and the generator is nearer 240v! Could this be the route of my problems (pretty intermittent) or would the multiplus just adapt to the changing voltage from the differing sources?

The changeover is done with a simple changeover switch.

Hi @Jwfrary,

The closer the initial MultiPlus output voltage and input voltage is the faster it will connect.

However it is extremely common for them to be 10-20V different, and as part of the synchronisation process, the Multi will adjust it's voltage to match.

There is a good video here that explains the process of how this is done:

It is unlikely that this differential in voltage would cause any problems. What are the intermittent your problems you are seeing?
