Will improving the power factor reduce battery load

I'm proposing to install a Multiplus II 48v/5000va GX inverter charger in my house with a Fogstar battery

Some of my domestic loads have a poor power factor eg a freezer with about 0.5 PF.

Will improving the power factor with a capacitor on the compressor reduce the current drawn from my battery?
