I'm looking to purchase 2 Vectron Mono 215W panels and noted there are two versions 4a and 4 b what is the difference between the two?

Have you actually looked at 2 listings side by side because the obvious difference is the series b is smaller and lighter so will be a more efficient panel. It has a slightly higher voltage but as both are around 40V that should not matter. Series b is probably a newer design. Just search for both and look at the width and weight.
