Disconnect battery on running MultiPlus-II

I have a MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50, a SmartSolar MPPT 250/100, and 2 Pylontech US5000 batteries running. Now, I want to add a third US5000 without shutting the inverter down. If I set the inverter to "Auto" (Grid in), can I safely disconnect the batteries? I need to balance the batteries for a couple of hours.

No. It is not designed to run without a battery.

Find a way to charge the new ones properly and then add them when the existing ones are fully charged, during a maintenance window.
