Full question title: Skylla IP65 VE Can Bus Connectivity Issues in Full Marine Victron System| Recent Firmware System Updates
Full Victron Marine installation: Recent device communication issues. Thoughts, input from anyone that's experienced something similar out knows what might be the issue GREATLY appreciated.
Earlier this year before we left for our cruising season in the Bahamas we had an additional charger added to our system to decrease bank charge time since we're configured to run both AC units off the inverter during the night.
A Skylla IP65 (1+1) was added to augment the existing Quattro 5000. The boat is a 12v system. The Quattro is configured to provide a max charge of 170A out of 200A available to not overly push the device. The Skylla was configured to limit its AC intake to 6A out of an available max of 10A, which results in ~50-55A DC additional charge to the 1320A Victron smart lithium battery bank which is managed by the Lynx 1000 BMS.
The Skylla has a network cable that connects into the 2nd VE Can port on the Victron 250/100 MPPT. The MPPT has a network cable that runs from the port side of the boat to the stbd side (power catamaran) where it connects into one of the VE Can ports on the Victron Ekronos.
Everything worked great during our time in the Bahamas, but now that we're getting the boat ready for a slower fall/winter season I'm not able to get the Skylla to stay connected to the Victron VE Can network. If I manually hit setup on the Skylla and ensure option 1 is set to (device on) the device will show up in on the Ekronos and on the Raymarine MFD Victron mgmt app for a minute or two, but the device won't respond to any commands to turn the device "on" or allow a change in the allowed AC charge current. Then the device disappears from the MFD and changes to show disconnected in the Ekronos Victron device list.
Recent changes that have been made: upgraded the MPPT to firmware version 3.16 from 3.15. upgraded Skylla to version 1.11 from 1.10. Upgraded the Lynx 1000 BMS to firmware 1.11 from 1.09. I don't like changing the Quattro firmware often so it's still on 508... I have had the Ekronos on the beta firmware most recently running v3.50~13 beta... Beta due to ALL of the changes and difference in features for the device.
Lastly, I purchased one of these Ethernet cable extenders allowing me to unplug both cables from the MPPT and connect them together to try and determine if the MPPT was giving some issues. Doing so didn't result in the Skylla VE Can connectivity becoming any more stable, but did result in the MPPT now giving a error 65 device has gone missing notification, even though it still shows on the Ekronos power visual readout screen and updates the watts and amps it's providing to the DC power bank.
Apologies for the lengthy write-up, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
