DC load monitor mode shunt in series or in parallel with battery monitor shunt?

I am using a smart shunt to monitor wind turbine input to an off-grid system that also has a smart shunt monitoring the battery state of charge. I am assuming that the two shunts are in series, so that the wind current will pass though the DC monitor shunt first and then the battery monitor on its way to the battery. Is this correct, does anyone know? Thanks. I have never seen a diagram of exactly how to wire up the DC load monitor mode shunt.

Yes. The loads will be connected between the shunts. So wind generator into shunt into busbar/load distributor. Busbar into shunt into battery.
