VRM Digital Input Alarm not Clearing

Hi, I have an emergency “high water” bilge pump connected to my Cerbo GX on my sailboat. When the pump is activated, the touch panel displays an alarm which I clear by pressing the check box on the display. However, I had this installed so I could be notified by the app, when I’m away from the boat, that the “high water” pump had been triggered. The problem is that it seems impossible to clear the alarm. In the VRM app, I tap the three dots beside the beside the active alarm on the alarm log page and then confirm. It gives me a message to say the alarm was successfully cleared. However, In roughly an hour or so, I get another digital input alarm, which is a false alarm that does not show on the touch panel..)). If I don’t clear the alarm, it will not add any new alarms. But If I clear the alarm, another (false) alarm appears in an hour or so.

Any advice on how to clear the alarms without it being regenerated as a false alarm, again and again.

thank you,

Tim

@Sailordog47 Have you got one of the modern pumps that spins up on a preset time interval to see if it needs to pump water by the current draw. If so, this may be causing frequent alarms. Another thought is if any of the wiring connections can get damp in the bilge and get a slight short circuit. But both of these would trigger both. I have a float switch as a high bilge alarm separate to the pump. I occasionally get spurious alarms (1 or 2 a year) and I have to reboot the Cerbo to clear these as they appear to be a bug in Venus OS.
