Changing Hertz Settings using Multiplus and Autotransformer

When installing a victron MJultiplus II 15KW 230 Volt inverter/charger and a Victron autotransformer to ouput 240 volt 60 Hertz the MK3 isn't changing the Hertz from 50 to 60. The data download shows it changed but it is not being changed and the Cerbo GX shows 240 Volts 50 Hertz. I know the Hertz are wrong because of error message on my clothes dryer. What am I doing wrong?

A transformer changes voltage, it cannot change frequency. You need a frequency converter for that.

If the grid is connected, the AC output will be at the same voltage and frequency as the input.

The only way to have 50 Hz AC input and 60 Hz AC output is to use separate charger and inverter: the charger connects to the 50 Hz AC input and charges the battery, the inverter takes power from the battery and inverts to 60 Hz AC output.

There would not be an opportunity to pass through AC input to the AC output.

I think the Victron Autotransformer is supposed to take the 50 Hertz power 230 volts from the Victron inverter/charger and change it to 60 Hertz 240 volts. It also allows the 240 60 Hertz power from the generator to pass through unchanged. The auto transformer is changing the voltage from 230 volts to 240 volts but it is not changing the voltage to 60 Hertz. It is allowing the generator power to pass though unchanged. are you familiar with the autotransformer?

Thank you for your response. I should realize the the transformer only changes voltage. But for some reason I have set the setting in the Multplus II to 60 hertz and it outputs 59 hertz when taking power from the batteries. Do you have any recommendations on what I am doing wrong?
