Victron Smart Battery Sense - No File System Access

Samsung Galaxy S10, Android 12, All updates applied and none are pending.

Victron Smart Battery Sense, P# SBS050150200, S# HQ22484RXWM. It updated to the latest version (this morning) as part of the initial 'Connecting' to the device.

I have several Victron Energy devices (including an older Victron Smart Battery Sense) and all are working well, EXCEPT the one I got yesterday...

1) I can't change the NAME of the device... new device name: "Boat Battery BMC"

It allows us to change the name and it appears to change... it shows the NEW NAME on all screens, as I back up to the main device display list, where it shows the new name for about 1 second and then it switches back to the old/default name.

2) I can't SAVE a settings file... file name: "Boat Battery BMC"

It appears to save the file (well, there is no error), but when I go to reload the saved file, no files are found. Saving again does not alert of existing file.

These issues may be related, I can't tell, but I would believe that both are trying to save something to the file system.

Things I have tried:

App settings. Only 2 permissions are available: 'Files and Media', and 'Nearby devices'. 'Files and Media' was not 'Allowed', so I allowed it, but no change in symptoms. I did notice that when I allowed 'Files and Media' it said It had access to media [only?]...

Restarted App. No Change

Restarted Phone. No Change

UPDATE - Waited about 30 minutes and restarted the phone again... The name is now set to the updated value. I still cannot save a settings file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Paul
