Orion DC-DC Converter 30 AMP

Using an Orion DC-DC converter to charge Lithium battery bank. Input power from 12v AGM starting battery and either ALTERNATOR or SHORE POWER charger.

This was working and I would see about 25 amps charging the 12V 200 AMP Lithium house bank.

The batteries were discharged to about 45% and I noticed that with the ALTERNATOR running I was only seeing about 8 AMP of charge.

Back at the marina, the shore power charger is rated at 25AMPS and ORION DC-DC converter is only puting out about 10 AMPS - but would only do this after disabling the engine parameters.

Do I have a defective ORION DC-DC converter?

Please clarify the product you're using? The Orion-Tr (non-smart) DC-DC Converter is not a charger, and should not be used as such, but your product tag lists the Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC Charger, which is a different product and functions differently.
