Hi all
I installed a new argofet 200a, 3 outputs in my boat, and I seem to only get a charge in the house batteries.
Here is my setup:
The alternator from the volvo d2-55 engine supplies 105a to the argofet input post. No energize input used.
The house batteries (3x 108a AGM) are connected to the first post.
The engine battery is connected to the second (1x 108a AGM)
The bowthruster battery (75a) is connected to the last one.
I usually get 60amps from the alternator, and that is almost all transfered to the house batteries.
The engine battery seems to get no more than 1 or 2 amps while the bowthruster gets nothing.
If i measure the voltage between the argofet posts and a negative, I do get 14v in all posts, but a large load in only the house bank.
Does this make sense? My bowthruster is not charging, and my engine is barely doing so.
What is wrong with this setup? How can i troubleshoot this?
Note i replaced an old diod separator, and it seemed to behave the same way.
Thanks
Gerry
