Combining two different BYD models on one system

The current setup has a BYD LVS 16KWh tower, 8KVA quattro, 250/100 MPPT and Cerbo GX. We wish to increase the storage but the LVS model is unavailable where I am. However we can get the BYD LV Flex 5KWh and I was wondering if its possible to have these 2 different BYD models running in parallel in the same system

Paralleling 2 different battery types is not normally recommended. However, IF the voltage/ SOC characteristics of the cells is very similar, then there should be relatively few problems.

You can. There are limitations. One BMU will have control, the other will not. (Settable in DVCC - make sure you pick the maon battery bank for CCL and DCL reasons otherwise you will have limiting). I assume you are adding for extra storage purposes mainly?

There are a few things to watch though. The main one being that the flex is not being over amp charged and discharged during use.

The charge voltages are likely the same as they are bothe BYD.
