My system has 2 MPPT 250/100 charge controllers. 1 connected to an array facing east (MPPT Rear) the other to an array facing west (MPPT Front). The DC system is 48V, with max charging voltage at 55,2V.
I have notices now several times that in the evening only the charge controller connected to the PV array facing west (MPPT Front) is not turning OFF when the PV voltage drops below the battery voltage.
Instead it seems to want to keep a power output of around 11W. Logically, with decreasing PV voltage this results in increasing current until the charger FINALLY turns off.
I don't think this behavior is normal...Does anyone else faces this behavior?
Also, it only happens occasionally. So, not every day . Otherwisey, the MPPT controller works fine.
