Quatro 48VDC 8000VA 1101 Inverter manual includes:
"

WARNING: DANGER OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK

The product is used in combination with a permanent energy source (battery). Even if the equipment is switched off, a

dangerous electrical voltage can occur at the input and/or output terminals. Always switch the AC power off and disconnect the

battery before performing maintenance. In addition, discharge the battery terminals or wait 30 minutes.

Which terminals should be shorted with a resistor to manually discharge the capacitors?

The battery terminals.

You will need a large (physically) resistor to do so. And it will get hot.

In all honesty (it is safer to) disconnect the battery bank and an other sources, switch the inverter to on and wait a bit.

FYI these are the same capacitor bank that needs to the precharge as well.
