Why is my set of 4 pytes batteries not showing up in my device list

I have my system multipus 2 with cerboo GX, working properly, but the pytes batterie (4 x E BOX R4800 type c in parallel) do not show up in the device list, everything is connected to specs and working fine, including ess.

Any suggestions?

The obvious things are - is firmware current? Are you sure you have the right cable? Is everything properly terminated? Are you using the correct CAN port?

If a battery does not appear, it is usually something basic relating to the above, or something was missed in the battery/BMS setup.

The firmware is current, the cable is a canbus cable from Victron themselves, the can is terminated on the cerbo side and in de ve.bus in the MP2, next to the cable that communicates with the batteries. Dynamic cut off is set at 47 v and float at 53,2.

The battery has nothing to do with vebus. Terminators are not used in vebus either. It should be connected to BMS.CAN.

Make sure you follow this setup doc exactly.

i do not know the firmware of the pytes ebox R4800 batteries, they are type c, the bms can is connected to the ve.can of the cerco and terminated. The batteries are connected with a normal cable to de ve.bus in the mp2

I set switched the SVS off, the other DVCC settings were ok.

You mentioned v18.1 on cerbo or vrm, where can i find it?

”The batteries are connected with a normal cable to de ve.bus in the mp2”

What do you mean with this? Batteries bms should only be connected to cerbo bms can bus, nothing else

there is a difference between the Victron CAN b cable and the pytes connection if found in the manuals, remove pin 3 (GND) from the RJ45 plug, also dont use a terminator

as said double check cabling specifically master to slave bat as well as any dip switches.

The battery with the empty link port 0 is the master battery.

@Johan Houwaard

Have you followed the instructions in the setup link above to the letter? After that, play around with the DIP address. In my particular case, using other brand batteries, the documented address never worked. I had to guess another address.
