MPPT Solar Charge Controller OFF

SmartSolar Charge controller is paired with a SmartShunt and recently stopped charging the battery. It shows the state as "OFF" Battery Voltage 13.32 and Solar voltage 17.7

If I disconnect the solar from the battery the unit will continue to operate on solar - reporting data to my phone.

Once I re-connect the battery it will charge normally until the next day when it will be OFF again.

You don't have vBatt +5v as required for an MPPT to start charging a battery, so it stays off.

Whats the details on the PV system?

The PV voltage needs to be Vbat +5V in order to start charging. After that, PV is allowed to drop to Vbat +1V to continue charging. If the start voltage is not met, the charger will stay off. With 13.32V on the battery the PV voltage needs to be at least 18.32V.

The smartsolar is able to continue to operate its bluetooth adapter on low PV voltage even when no battery is connected, so no issue there.

Disconnecting the battery will drop the voltage on the battery terminals, so the Vbat +5V can be reached easily, starting the charging. Reconnecting the battery then will continue charging if PV voltage will not drop below Vbat +1V.

Id check the history in the app. Has the PV voltage actually not reached the start value anymore in the past few days? Also check the panels for debris or damage, as well as the connectors
