Hi Everyone - first time poster, long time lurker!
Happily using our Cerbo GX - cracking bit of kit. Have been using the relays to start/stop the genset and to turn a board contactor on and off. I'm hoping to find a way to turn on relay 2 after 60 seconds of relay 1 being activated. Our setup is completely off-grid, being made up of a Cerbo GX, 4 x 200ah lifepo4 batteries, 1200 watts of solar, 2 x Bluesolar 100/50 MPPT and a MultiplusII-1600 inverter/charger. For 9.9/10ths of the year, the batteries and MPPT work flawlessly, barely if ever have to look at it, however when I get an alarm that there's not been enough sun and the batteries are getting low, I've just spun up VRM on my phone and flicked the genset on (relay 1) then 60 seconds later, activated relay two which drives the contactor that activates the switchboard which then provides AC power to the Multiplus which then goes and does its thing.
I did get caught out recently where I was away from my alarms and didn't realize that we'd drained the batteries and therefore lost comms with my site. I'm aware we can just turn on the genset and automatically provide power, however the contactor is wired in deliberately so that the genset can bring power up to spec before a load is applied to it as a safeguard mechanism for the alternator.
I see that Relay two only has manual and temperature but could anyone advise me of a way (if one exists) to set relay 2 to activate X number of seconds after relay 1/generator start/stop is activated.
Thanks for reading!
Regards,
-Adam.
