Sorry for asking - first post! Im about to pull the trigger on a 3 fase MPII 5000 system, have 5kw solar in 2 strings and 2 smaller 2kw systems. For over10 years the grid was good to us, now with some very large solar farms and everybody having solar on the grid - im stuck with lots of power issues day and night. Main issue is not able to feed- in solar power nor use it during the day as all inverters switch off. This results in buying every day over 40kws of power for the first time in the summertime at 30 euro cents a kw.
I cant find simular cases with overvoltage on grid-
My big questions: 1: can Victron switch to island mode during the day during high voltage on ac in - feeding the house and barn - on battery / mppt and ac invertors that are behind MPs? Are ther any pitfalls?
Nr 2: When battery is full switch back to grid? Stop MPPT - inverters from loading...
From my readups using a MPPT RS450 would be most efficient -I have 2 strings 5kw total that I can convert to RS450/100 - 3rd string to smaller mppt when needed.
Im building 3x 15kw storage at the moment.
Thanks Kees - greets from Netherlands
